Harcryl® 1228 UV is a unique, functional, acrylic monomer consisting of mono and di-phosphate esters of 2-Hydroxyethylmethacrylate. The ratio of mono-alkyl to di-alkyl phosphate allows it to be easily incorporated into a variety of polymer systems, and its polarity provides for application in hydrophilic formulations as well. The main application for Harcryl® 1228 UV is UV curable coatings, and it is inhibited with 100ppm of added MeHQ.

The polarity of Harcryl® 1228 provides for application in hydrophilic formulations as well. The primary use area for Harcryl® 1228 is emulsion polymerization and it is inhibited with 400ppm of added hydroquinone.
