T-Det® A26-5.5NR is a biodegradable 5.5-mole ethoxylate of a linear C12-C16 alcohol with a narrow ethoxymer distribution. It has outstanding detergent properties and can be used in multiple cleaning formulations. This product can be derived from either natural or synthetic sources.

T-Det A26-5.5NR behaves similarly to other alcohol ethoxylates in that it has a tendency to gel on contact with water. The product will tolerate up to ~30% water before becoming an immobile gel. Adding heat while it is being agitated can minimize the gelling. It is recommended that any concentration of water added to this product be stirred/agitated with heat for an extended period to get the product in solution.

Compatibility

T-Det® A26-5.5NR is compatible with anionic, cationic, amphoteric and other nonionic surfactants. It should not be mixed with concentrated oxidizing or reducing agents since the mixture of these compounds with organic compounds could form a potentially explosive mixture.
