Macat® CAP-HS is a highly effective and substantive amphoteric surfactant used to enhance foaming and improve viscosity in anionic shampoos and other personal care cleansers. Macat® CAP-HS can be used in hair and body cleansers as a superior replacement for the commonly used cocamidopropyl betaine due to both its mildness and effectiveness. Macat® CAP-HS is compatible with anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants and can provide copious foam in harsh environments such as high or low pH formulations. HI&I cleaners and oil field formulations can benefit from the superior wetting performance, caustic and brine tolerance and coupling performance of Macat® CAP-HS for improved detergency, foam stabilizing and ingredient compatibility.
